Mashed Potatoes with Sautéed Apple
Ultra simple, a 'Heaven and Earth' combination of sautéed apple
(heaven) and mashed potato (earth). Especially good with pork, ham or
roasts.
mashed potatoes for 4 persons (use floury potatoes)
1 sm. flavourful apple (or half a large one)
butter
Make your favourite recipe for mashed potatoes (without garlic if you use it).
Core, peel and dice the apple small and sautée until slightly brown in
melted butter.
Gently and briefly combine with the mashed potatoes.
Keep warm in the oven for 10 minutes or so to allow the flavours to marry.
